Oceania Vista Inaugural 180-Day World Cruise in 2026

Oceania‘s newest ship, the Oceania Vista, will start its inaugural world cruise from Miami in 2026. The 180-day Around the World trip on the Vista covers 101 ports across 43 countries. Bookings for this voyage begin on March 13.

The Vista, debuting in May 2023, marked Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ founder and former CEO, Frank Del Rio‘s, last project before retiring. He stepped down soon after the Vista’s maiden voyage in the Mediterranean.

The Oceania Vista cruise will showcase over 80 UNESCO World Heritage sites, offer 11 overnight stays, provide free curated onshore events, and present optional multi-day overland programs.

Departing from Miami on January 6, 2026, the Vista explores South America‘s eastern coast before heading to Mexico and California. It then visits French Polynesia, Australia, Southeast Asia, and India. The itinerary includes passage through the Red Sea and Suez Canal to reach the Mediterranean, British Isles, and Nordic regions before returning to Miami along the U.S. East Coast.

However, this plan depends on the safety of the Red Sea for cruise traffic. Recent Houthi militant attacks on shipping vessels in Yemen have forced several cruise lines and shipping companies to avoid the area.

Guests can choose a shorter 120-day trip from San Diego to Miami or a longer 197-day voyage from Los Angeles to Miami.
